Memory Cafe's

Memory Cafe’s are free and safe spaces to bring your loved one with some form of cognitive decline or memory loss.  They offer a sense of community, connection and meaningful programming.   Please use the following link to find a memory café’ near you.

Upcoming Caregiver Events & Seminars

  • The Empowered Caregiver: Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors – Behaviors are a form of communication. Learn to identify, understand and respond to challenging behaviors.
  • The Empowered Caregiver: Exploring Care and Support Services​ – The more caregivers know about the disease, and what to expect, the more prepared they will be for future changes and care decisions. Learn why it’s important to plan for care changes, what types of resources and support services are available including respite care, long term care and end of life options.
  • Caring for the Caregiver webinars are offered by the Executive Office of Aging and Independence (AGE).  This free, virtual series offers support, connection, resources and tips to caregivers on a variety of topics.  Click here to sign up for upcoming webinars.
This month’s the session will honor Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month and will be held on April 29th at 12:00 pm.

This session is designed for people living with Parkinson’s, family and care partners, and aging network professionals. The webinar will explore practical ways to strengthen the “Parkinson’s village” by building the right care team, connecting with community-based supports, and planning ahead with confidence.

Local Caregiver Support Groups

  • Seniors helping Seniors Caregiver Support Group –

    This informal facilitated support group, open to family members caring for a loved one, will allow you to share openly about your current caregiving challenges in a confidential and safe environment. The support group meets monthly via Zoom. All those who RSVP at least one day prior to the meeting will be sent the Zoom link on the morning of the support group meeting date.
