Aging, living with a disability, and providing care are complicated. Frequently, specific issues arise that bring up questions and the desire to learn more. Knowing where to turn for dependable information can be difficult.
The Lending Library has items on a variety of topics of interest to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers, including more than 300 books, DVDs and information sheets available to check out. Free brochures, booklets and information sheets are also available. Topics include Aging, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, Caregiving, Driving, Financial Issues, Grandparenting, Loss & Bereavement, Medical Issues, Mental Health, Nutrition, Retirement, Spirituality and Wellness. People are welcome to drop in and browse, and Care Advisors are available to help you find what you are looking for. Individuals unable to visit the library may request that items be sent through the mail.
Our team of 125 care advisors, information and referral specialists, protective service workers, social workers, and RN’s are professional, dependable, and compassionate resources for the people we serve. As a staff, we have amassed a wealth of knowledge and insight about the many public and private resources available, and our goal is to empower people with the knowledge they need to maintain their independence.
