My husband used to take me shopping, so shopping became a problem when he passed away. Linda drives me to the supermarket, and helps me in the aisles – she’s learned what foods and brands I prefer. We’re shopping friends. I couldn’t do it without her.

Shopping Assistance
Chores that many people take for granted can get harder to accomplish as you age. Some seniors can’t get to the grocery store, and would like someone to go for them. Others want to do their own shopping, but would like a friendly helper to come along.
OVERVIEW
Springwell Shopping Assistants are volunteers who can either provide an escort to the supermarket for help shopping, or who can do the shopping themselves. Shopping Assistants can help with writing a shopping list, going to the store for or with you, putting away groceries, or running other, brief shopping errands. Shopping Assistants are available weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed. Springwell Shopping Assistants do not handle more than $40 in cash or use your ATM card, buy alcohol, or manage your money.
