Transportation Resources in Marlborough

The Marlborough COA, Senior Center,  located at 40 New Street, can help with transportation resources through MetroWest Regional Transit Authority, F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service Helping), MCOA Transportation and Dial-A-Ride. F.I.S.H. is a free, all volunteer service that provides no-cost transportation to medical appointments for Marlborough residents when family and friends cannot. This program is provided by the Marlborough Council on Aging / Senior Center. MCOA Transportation is provided to residents of Marlborough age 60 and over who are registered for the Transportation program. The MCOA mini bus is handicapped accessible. The MCOA provides transportation in Marlborough daily. Designated trips to grocery stores, shopping malls and big box stores are offered, as well as trips to personal appointments and trips to the Senior Center.

BeDriven® offers shuttle van and car service, by reservation, to and from Boston area health facilities, including hospitals, doctor’s offices, health clinics, rehabilitation facilities, etc. for non-emergency medical appointments.

If you require prescriptions to be filled or equipment picked-up, special arrangements can be made at the time of booking or by contacting a reservation agent prior to pick up.

This MBTA service is for persons with disabilities and seniors who are unable to independently use public transportation. The program requires a face-to-face interview which can be scheduled over the phone. Free transportation to the interview will be provided by The RIDE. Once approved, rides are scheduled by calling 1-844-427-7433.

GoGo Grandparent allows a person of any age to use Uber or Lyft without having a smartphone. They can provide transportation to any destination provided the individual can get in and out of the vehicle with minimal assistance. Call GoGo Grandparent and follow the prompts to arrange your ride.
