Springwell’s Transportation Overview

Many individuals need at least some assistance getting their transportation needs met. The most common types of available assistance are transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, senior center, and to a community lunch site. Our Medical Escort program offers one-on-one assistance to elders who need someone to accompany them to their appointment in the towns of Belmont, Brookline, Needham, Newton, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley and Weston.

Local towns may also offer transportation support. To learn about the most commonly used transportation resources in your community, click on the appropriate town transportation link below.

Sometimes elders have unique needs that require other types of transportation assistance than those listed. Please contact our Information and Resource Department at Springwell at (617) 926-4100 or inforef@springwell.com if your transportation needs can not be met with the resources listed below.

TRIPPS is the Transportation Resources, Information, Planning and Partnership for Seniors program that has an online guide to non-driving transportation options for seniors. View the guide here.
