Social Work: Combining Compassion and Action

two adults - writing and talking

March is Social Work Month, and is a time to explicitly honor the powerful, positive impact the social work profession has had on our society for generations. Springwell social workers share ideas and collaborate to improve in-home services for older adults and families in the twenty-two communities we serve. At Springwell, social workers are problem-solvers who address issues with a holistic approach that values all the multiple dimensions of peoples’ lives.

Compassion shines through the support provided by social workers while their actions guide individuals to the best services to address whatever issue they are facing. The challenges that come with aging are varied and may include a wide range of needs to be addressed, including food insecurity, trouble keeping up with personal care or housework, and/or financial planning issues.

If you or a loved one thinks you might benefit from some assistance to make a positive change, a good place to start is with Springwell’s Information and Referral Team. They are knowledgeable about all our services and resources and can get you connected to helpful people to provide compassion and action.
