We Appreciate Springwell Nurses
May is recognized as Nurses Month, and it is the perfect opportunity to celebrate Springwell’s nurses! At Springwell, nurses are an essential component of our team and are instrumental in helping us fulfill our mission of enhancing the lives of older adults.
A primary role of nurses at Springwell is to assess the health and functional status of older adults. By conducting comprehensive assessments, nurses can identify areas where older adults may need additional support, such as assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, or care coordination. Nurses use this information in partnership with Care Managers to develop individualized care plans that are tailored to each older adult’s needs and preferences.
Springwell nurses are advocates for the older adults that they work with. Some older adults are reluctant to seek assistance. They may not be fully aware of the options for help and the voice they have in choosing the help they want. Nurses know the questions to ask and the conversations to have that allow them to fully understand the needs and wants. Once the challenges are fully understood along with what help is wanted, nurses are equipped to figure out the best care plan.
Our nurses’ expertise and dedication help us provide high-quality, person-centered care to older adults in our communities. We are grateful for all they do.
